How Rolfing Works
®
Rolfing Structural Integration is a hands-on approach that works with the body’s fascial system, the connective tissue that creates continuity between muscles, bones and organs. Over time, stress, injuries, or habitual posture can cause fascia to tighten and create imbalance in the body.

Through gentle yet deep touch and movement guidance, Rolfing helps release these restrictions, realigning the body so it can move with more ease and balance.
Many people notice improved posture, reduced pain and tension, and a greater sense of connection to their body.
Rolfing is not just about physical change—it also supports a deeper awareness of how you move, breathe, and inhabit your body in daily life.
What to Expect During a Rolfing Session
®
Personalized Consultation
First session begins with a conversation about your health history, lifestyle, and goals. We’ll also assess your posture and movement patterns to identify areas of imbalance or tension.
Clear Goal-Setting
Together, we’ll define your priorities, whether it’s relieving chronic pain, improving athletic performance, enhancing mobility, or feeling more at ease in your body.
Hands-On Bodywork
Comfortable Attire
Please wear clothing like shorts and a sports bra or underwear that allows access to key areas while keeping you comfortable and covered.

Myofascial Release
Using slow, precise pressure, I’ll work with your fascia (connective tissue) to release tension, improve alignment, and restore balance. Please ensure your skin is clean and free of oils or moisturizer.

Active Involvement
You may be guided to breathe deeply, make small movements, or adjust your posture to help deepen the effects of the work.

Integration and Aftercare
Movement Tips
You’ll receive personalized advice or exercises to help maintain and integrate your alignment into everyday life.

Post-Session Sensations
You might feel lighter, taller, or more balanced after a session. Some soreness is normal as your body adapts to the changes.

Stay Hydrated
Drinking water after a session supports your body’s natural recovery.

Ongoing Support
While many clients notice changes after the first session, lasting results often come from a series of sessions. We’ll regularly assess your progress and adjust the plan to meet your needs.

Rolfing is a collaborative process, and your comfort is my priority. Feel free to share your feedback and sensations during and after the session to ensure the best possible experience for you.
